CARE ASSISTANTS (DAYS/NIGHTS) IN KINGS BROMLEY AT RDCP CARE &
IN ST NICHOLAS HOUSE AT RDCP CARE

JOB DESCRIPTION
​We currently have opportunities for Care Assistants to join our team at Kings Bromley Care Home, based in Staffordshire; providing person-centred nursing, palliative, dementia and residential care for up to 47 people. These are Full-Time positions working 33 hours per week; both day and night shift availability to suit.

Kings Bromley Care Home provides nursing, palliative, dementia and residential care for up to 47 people. We provide support that is of the highest standard and is tailored to meet individual’s needs, wishes and choices.


Responsibilities:
  • Providing daily care support to help maintain and improve, where possible, independence and mobility.
  • Assist service users to carry out their activities of living e.g. dressing, eating and bathing.
  • Assist residents to choose from the daily menu and report any comments on food and requests for particular dishes. Ensure individuals receive a nutritious balanced diet and adequate hydration in accordance with their plan of care. Serve and clear meals to a high standard.
  • Provide in-between nourishment as instructed, including the service of tea/coffee etc. to visitors also.
  • To keep all rooms, clean and tidy at all times, ensuring a safe environment
  • Ensure that the people we support are treated with privacy, dignity and respect at all times
  • Maintain a sound knowledge of Care Quality Commission (CQC) and all other regulatory standards.
  • To adhere to Company Policies and Procedures

  • Passion for delivering high quality care
  • Ability to work as part of a team delivering high quality support services in accordance with an agreed plan
  • Demonstrate positive values in line with equal opportunities legislation
  • Ability to promote and maintain independence, choice, respect throughout all aspects of the service
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • QCF or NVQ 2/3 or equivalent – desirable
  • Ability to work to a high standard on your own initiative and as part of a larger team
  • Maintain confidentiality in all aspects of your work
