Testimonials
"You have not only provided care to a very high professional standard, but you have all shown my mother-in-law and us great kindness and respect. The care you have given always showed much compassion, always respecting her dignity. You set a very high benchmark in the way you deliver care and have done consistently since we have known you and your wonderful staff"
Dr John M Thompson "The technical skills of your staff are matched only by the exceptional tenderness and understanding of each individual. Residents are truly in their own home and cared for by people who love them." Dr Catherine Crocker MRCGP |

What's it like to live at Kings Bromley
We support people to maintain lifestyles that are as similar as possible to those enjoyed at home. We encourage regular interaction with the local community, including contact with friends, family and local groups. We provide a safe and supportive environment and residents are encouraged to take part in a wide variety of social and leisure activities. We encourage relatives and friends to maintain close and regular contact, as they would previously have done, especially where they were main carers, these links can still be used to meet the requirements of each individual. We believe that being admitted into a care home is no reason for someone to have to reduce the activities they have enjoyed all their life. We make an effort to maintain the links people have had with local communities. At Kings Bromley, we have a very proactive activities programme, including holistic therapies, craft sessions, gardening, indoor bowling, skittles and board games. We also have our own sensory room that residents can use throughout the day. We plan numerous events throughout the year, such as a spring fair, gardening competitions and pampering evenings in the village hall. We plan Christmas fairs and parties and have outside entertainers who visit the home twice every month. The people we support also enjoy performances by a travelling theatre which visit twice yearly and put on fantastic colourful shows. A full time qualified cook is responsible for the kitchen. Mealtimes are flexible and a choice of menu is available. All dietary requirements are catered for. A four week menu is operated and changed on a regular basis in order to provide a nutritious and varied diet. Room service is also offered as an option. Beverages are always readily available for residents and visitors are welcome to join residents for meals. |
Kings Bromley offers a range of facilities to ensure the highest level of comfort, safety and satisfaction possible for its residents.
We have 46 modern and comfortable bedrooms, each of which has a nurse call facility, a double plug socket, bedside lighting and a wash basin. There are several spacious lounges and dining rooms. People enjoy visits from professionals such as chiropodists and physiotherapists, and our activity staff undertake holistic and beauty therapies. We also have an in-house hairdressing salon. Kings Bromley is well equipped with handrails, visible signs and spacious halls to accommodate people’s needs and encourage mobility. We offer facilities to accommodate all religious faiths. We have landscaped gardens and spacious courtyards which people can enjoy and sit in the sun on warm summer days. All housekeeping is done by highly qualified staff and laundry requirements are tended to in house. The home is located in a quiet village in Staffordshire. There are bus links but as we are so rural private transport is advisable, there are a variety of clubs held in the local village hall which residents have joined in the past. There are two local garden centres nearby, both of which have wheelchair access and provide an ideal location for light meals and drinks. |
