I began my career in care in 2013 after supporting a loved one living with dementia, which inspired me to learn more about the sector. Having previously completed work experience at Clifton Manor at the age of 15, it felt natural to return and start my journey there. I worked my way up from Carer to Senior, then Deputy, and now Home Manager, while completing my Level 5 in Leadership & Management and specialist dementia training.
My passion for care comes from personal experience and a strong desire to make a difference. I’m particularly driven by supporting people living with dementia and ensuring they receive compassionate, person-centred care that respects their dignity and individuality. As a manager, I find it most rewarding to support both residents and staff, creating a positive environment where everyone feels valued.
My key strengths include dementia care, palliative care, and leadership. I focus on delivering care that supports comfort, dignity, and emotional wellbeing, especially at end of life, while working closely with families and healthcare professionals to ensure each person’s needs are met.
I take a compassionate and patient approach, understanding that every individual’s experience is different. Building trust with families is just as important to me, ensuring they feel confident and reassured that their loved ones are in safe hands.
Outside of work, I live by the value of being kind to everyone—you never know what someone else may be going through.
