Jeena Jerry
Home Manager

  • I began my career in care because I have always been driven by a desire to make a meaningful difference in people’s lives. I started as a Senior Carer and worked my way up, gaining a strong understanding of residents’ needs as well as developing my leadership skills. This progression has given me valuable experience in teamwork, improving service quality, and supporting individuals with complex care needs.

I was inspired to work in care by the opportunity to positively impact people’s lives every day. Supporting individuals to maintain dignity, independence, and quality of life is incredibly rewarding. What I enjoy most in my role now is developing and supporting my team, watching them grow in confidence and skills, and knowing that this directly improves the quality of care our residents receive.

My key strengths include leadership, team development, and building strong, trusting relationships with residents, families, and colleagues. I have experience in managing care quality, supporting staff through constructive feedback, and ensuring compliance with regulations and best practice. I am particularly passionate about delivering person-centred care and creating a culture where staff feel valued, supported, and empowered to do their best.

My approach is centred on compassion, communication, and collaboration. For residents, I focus on understanding their individual needs, preferences, and life stories to ensure care is meaningful and tailored. With families, I prioritise openness and trust, keeping them informed and involved. With my team, I lead by example, remaining approachable and supportive while setting clear expectations. I believe in empowering staff, recognising their contributions, and creating a positive and inclusive environment where everyone feels respected and motivated.

A value I strongly live by is treating others with kindness and respect. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family and value maintaining a healthy work-life balance, which helps me stay positive, focused, and fully present in my role.
