Made Possible: wishes big and small at RDCP Care
RDCP Care is launching Made Possible, a year-long care home wishes initiative for residents, families and staff. Across our 19 homes, we will listen to what people would love to do and work together to help make it happen.
200 wishes, one year of possibilities
Made Possible runs from 31 October 2026 to 30 October 2027. Our goal is to fulfil 200 wishes in total across residents, family members and staff, and we would be delighted to achieve even more.
Residents remain at the heart of the programme, with opportunities for the wider RDCP Care family to take part too. Every wish begins with the person and what matters to them.
Wishes big and small
A wish might be a trip to the seaside, a chance to enjoy a favourite hobby again, a visit from a much-loved animal or an afternoon spent with someone special. For someone else, it might be trying a new experience or revisiting a place filled with happy memories.
Small wishes can mean a great deal. A favourite meal, a particular piece of music or the chance to do something independently can be just as personal and meaningful as a bigger outing.
Made Possible is about making space for these conversations and creating opportunities around individual interests, relationships and choices.
Why it matters.
Having something to look forward to matters at every stage of life. Our residents bring a lifetime of interests, relationships and ambitions with them, and we want life in our homes to reflect who they are. Asking what someone would love to do gives them a say in shaping their experiences and shows that their ideas and choices matter. Made Possible will help us make time for those individual wishes, creating opportunities for enjoyment and connection, and for residents, families and staff to share experiences and make new memories.
Sharing wishes across our homes
Our residents, staff and families will be invited to make a wish by writing it on a card and placing it in their home's Made Possible wishing well. From a favourite day out to a new experience, the wells will collect ideas that reflect what matters to the people in our homes.
Our teams will be on hand to listen and offer support, with families welcome to join the conversations and help us understand the experiences and interests that are special to their loved one.
Could you help make a wish possible?
Local businesses, venues, clubs and neighbours can all help open up possibilities. You might be able to offer an experience, share a skill, arrange a visit or introduce us to someone who could help.

We will share people’s experiences with the appropriate permission. Anyone can choose to enjoy their wish privately, and declining photographs, filming or publicity will never affect their opportunity to take part.
